Wytze de Haan is an experienced leader in the tech and event industry, notably serving as Director of Events at The Next Web (TNW). He expanded TNW's event portfolio globally, launching successful live, hybrid and digital events across Amsterdam, New York, London, Bangkok and São Paulo.

My mission is clearing away 90% of the AI noise to spotlight what's valuable for event professionals.

Hey, I'm Wytze 👋

I've spent the last 3 years exploring the world of Generative AI.

Reports? I've read them. Tools? I test them. Skills? I spend my time perfecting them. I do so with only one goal, which is to discover how to make this technology relevant for my and your work as an event professional.

Most of my career I spent building the largest technology events in the world. In my time as Director of Events at TNW we grew our flagship festival from 800 to 10.000+ attendees. Me and my team were able to do so because we leveraged software tools such as Slack, Monday and Zapier to help us achieve our goals faster, smarter and more creatively. That's also what drives me towards Generative AI. Event management is a beautiful industry, but the pace and deadlines can be relentless. Wouldn't it be great if we could use AI to build personal, human events, while leveraging technology to reduce our workload and stress?

As a generalist, Generative AI has allowed me to write, program and design things that would've otherwise never been possible. I am now able to design stages, crafted beautiful event concepts and program AI agents, all because I have access to these superhuman AI models that can do the heavy lifting.

To me, AI is the best thing since the introduction of the internet.
