/ The challenge.

The creative team at Mysteryland consistently produced visionary event concepts — but encountered friction when visualizing these ideas for stakeholders and partners. Traditionally, turning creative visions into tangible visuals relied heavily on designers, causing delays and bottlenecks during the ideation process. Mysteryland needed a faster, more inclusive way to visually prototype and storyboard their event concepts, empowering multidisciplinary teams to contribute creatively, even without specialized design skills.

Their ambition was clear: enable the entire team — not just designers — to rapidly visualize and refine event ideas, reducing turnaround times and making the creative process more agile and collaborative.

/ The solution.

To overcome this challenge, we collaborated with Mysteryland to integrate powerful AI tools directly into their creative workflow. This allowed their team to produce visual prototypes and storyboards quickly, independently, and cost-effectively — without waiting for designers or extensive budgets.

Imagine you've just conceived a fantastic event concept, but you have to wait for a designer to bring it to life. What if you could visualise your initial concept yourself, in a fraction of the time — and budget? In this article, we'll guide you through the process we piloted with the Mysteryland team.

Step 1: Give your event concept an identity

The first step in bringing your idea to life is developing a visual identity, starting with a logo. Currently, logos generated with AI are not (yet) suitable for direct professional use (since they're not vector files), but they're an excellent way to quickly visualize concepts.

Let’s use a fictional event as an example: a quarterly event for the platform ‘Event Inspiration,’ where editors invite twenty-five guests for "dinner & conversations" at a secret location in the Netherlands. We’ll call this concept ‘Hidden Circles.’‍

TOOL 1: Claude / ChatGPT / Copilot / Gemini‍

With a language model, I provide a rough outline of my concept and request a catchy description to give it shape. As the clock is ticking, we’ll keep it short and sweet.

‍

TOOL 2: Ideogram‍

With Ideogram, I easily generate several logo variations using a simple prompt, such as: ‘Design a sleek, modern logo for ‘Hidden Circles'. Ideogram is currently the only image-generation tool that effortlessly integrates text into AI-generated images, making it crucial to provide the concept name without spelling errors. Additionally, its 'magic prompt' feature automatically enriches my simple prompt.
‍

TOOL 3: Freepik / RemoveBG / Ideogram

We process the logo with Freepik or RemoveBG to remove its background and create a transparent PNG version. This makes the logo immediately usable on any surface (presentations, mockups, documentation). Paying Ideogram users can do this directly within the app.

Why this works:
You don’t need to wait for multiple designer iterations — your logo is ready within minutes, completely tailored to your event’s look and feel. Another benefit is that AI is endlessly patient; you can easily create 50 variations until you’re entirely satisfied.

Step 2: Bring the concept to life with merchandise

Clients are human too. Hand them something tangible with their logo, and they'll be impressed. With an Ideogram logo in hand, it's time to make the concept tangible. We'll use Recraft to bring the event concept to life with branded coffee mugs, t-shirts, and flags, which can be included in your pitch.‍

TOOL 1: Recraft

‍With Recraft, I quickly generate product mockups. We then add the ‘Hidden Circles’ logo onto, for example, a black t-shirt or baseball cap, instantly creating a merchandise line. It’s child's play.
‍

Why this works:
Recraft’s image generation tool perfectly “wraps” your logo onto any product surface.
‍

Step 3: Sell your vision with a storyboard

Now it's time to tell your event’s story. A storyboard helps visualize the flow, energy, and experience.

‍TOOL 1: Claude / ChatGPT / Copilot / Gemini

‍We start with a Large Language Model (LLM) to describe various scenes based on the event concept. In this case, we’ll set ‘Hidden Circles’ in a geometric transparent dome located in an isolated forest.
‍

PROMPT (ChatGPT):
‍
“Create nine detailed descriptions of immersive scenes for the event concept developed above. The concept above should unfold from beginning to climax to conclusion, telling a powerful story. Each scene should vividly describe the setting, rich with visual details. It's important to show that it's an event showcasing the people and the theme, so use different camera angles and setups (close - mid and wide shots). Make sure that the end scene always contains a large group of people.

Make sure to first present the ideas in the conversation. Then proceed with the following. Each scene description should not contain any commas. Commas should only be used to separate the scenes in the output. Format the output as one long, comma-separated sentence inside a code snippet, without including scene numbers or labels. Be very precise.”

English prompts perform better in Midjourney than prompts in other languages. Therefore, if necessary, I translate my concept into powerful English descriptions that capture the core essence. This forms the foundation for my sketches. My input? The concept ‘Hidden Circles’ (see above), combined with the idea of a first edition in a transparent dome located deep within a forest.‍

Scene 1 - Guests arrive at the edge of a forest
A wide shot captures guests parking their cars near the edge of a dense forest under the golden glow of the setting sun, sleek vehicles lined up against the backdrop of towering trees setting a tranquil yet anticipatory tone for the evening ahead.‍

Scene 2 - Follow the sign and trail of lights
A medium camera shot capturing a wooden arrow sign pointing to the right, the sign is discreetly marked with the text that says “Hidden Circles". It's standing at the start of a trail with lights.‍

Scene 3 - A geometric dome is waiting
A path that opens to a large transparent geometric event dome in a forest clearing. The dome glints softly in the evening sunlight. A small group of attendees walk towards the structure.‍

Scene 4 - Circle of Connections
An aerial shot capturing a large wooden round table at the center of a transparent geometric dome where twenty guests can comfortably sit. Greenery and soft lantern light frame the elegant setup while guests stand around the table.‍

Scene 5 - A passionate keynote
A close-up shot captures a woman standing confidently at the center of the transparent geometric dome presenting to the audience. Her expression is highlighted while the silhouettes of attendees at a large round table form a subtle backdrop.‍

Scene 6 - Fireside Reflections
Guests in business casually forming a circle around a glowing firepit, soft string lights illuminating the forest. A transparent geometric dome glows in the background, blending with nature, as warm smiles convey unity and inspiration.‍

Afterward, I ask ChatGPT to remove points and commas and convert everything into a structured code snippet. This gives me clear, structured instructions I can use immediately in Midjourney.

TOOL 2: Midjourney
‍
Next, we use Midjourney with a <permutation> {...,...} and <style-reference>–-sref: 6 to create dynamic storyboard visuals capturing the event’s essence. Here's my prompt for the ‘Hidden Circles’ scenes:

PROMPT (Midjourney):

Permutations generate multiple scene variations in a single action. Suppose you need six scenes, each slightly different in lighting or camera angle. Rather than creating these manually, permutations automatically combine all options you’ve set. Result? One click generates all variations. Extremely efficient.

The style reference ensures all images share the same visual style—whether sketchy or minimalist—guaranteeing visual consistency throughout.

Why this works:
With these techniques, you turn your ideas into visuals in no time. No hassle, no hours spent sketching. Clearly and directly show clients your vision. A storyboard like ‘Hidden Circles’ is created not in a day, but within an hour.

With AI tools, you bring your creative concepts to life in a fraction of the time, without relying immediately on designers or big budgets. From logos capturing your identity instantly, to merchandise and storyboard visuals making your vision tangible—these workflows transform your ideas into compelling presentations.

Let your creativity flourish and take control, making a strong first impression on all your stakeholders and clients in 2025. 🎹✹
